I have known Widget in many capacities over the past seven years: babysitter, camp counselor, ice skating instructor, confidante, mentor, the big sister I never had, and, above all, friend. Aside from being the most caring, compassionate person I know– she ALWAYS puts other people’s needs before her own and goes out of her way to make sure that everyone is having the best time possible– she also possesses the unique ability of being simultaneously fun and responsible. I can always count on enjoying every second of an adventure with Widget. There are not nearly enough words to give her the praise she deserves. I highly recommend Widget Works.

I first met Widget in 2006 at Fitness By the Sea. I had no friends at the time during summer camp. I decided to go into her cabana, the Seals. She invited me into her social group where I met lots of people. She taught me how to surf, make friendship bracelets, hair wraps, and how to have a fun summer. Widget is a smart, funny, and full of energy kind of person! She will brighten your day! Widget is so great with us kids, she knows how to relate. She attracts a whole mob of little girls who cannot let go. Sometimes it is hard for her to go to the bathroom without anyone crowding her. You cannot have as much fun without a Widget, you will always have fun! Widget is like a party, everything comes with her.

When I first met Widget, she ran right up to me and said, “Hi! I’m Widget what is your name?” We started to talk and then I started to play with her. She is cheerful, super fun, has great stories, and is very responsible. She taught me how to do things like paddleboard and braid a friendship bracelet and she taught me many other things. Widget is like a party in a box, she makes any time feel like a ton of fun! I have loved getting to know her and know that you will love her too! J

Widget is great with kids! She not only plays with them but connects with them. At summer camp widget always has many kids around her listening to her stories and playing games. For years I have spent my time at camp with widget and loved every minute. Widget is great.

Widget has been a counselor and friend of mine since I was 7 years old. When I was little I was super shy and camp was the only place I could really be myself. I always wanted to be friends with the counselors and Widget would always say hi to me and include me in all her activities. As I grew older she always made me still feel apart of camp by treating me like I was an adult opposed to a camper. This past summer I switched to work at the ‘rival’ camp and Widget was so supportive and even came to visit me once. She is still one of my good friends and is like an older sister to me.

I met Widget when I was 6, and I remember my sister and I really looked up to her. She is a fun quirky girl and is always there to talk to. SHe taught me how to make friendship bracelets and convinced me to go in the water, when I was scared of sea creatures. She taught me how to use my imagination and have fun. I met Widget about six years ago while I was a camper at a summer camp she worked at as a counselor. Following that summer, Widget and I maintained a close relationship that grew exponentially during the school years to follow. Widget often took me to lunch on the weekends and helped me with schoolwork after school. Widget has been there with support through each major milestone in my adolescent life. She has mentored me in both my personal life and school life. Widget has never failed to answer any distressed text or trivial question I may ask or send. She encourages me to strive to be my best and fosters me in my journey to find myself and my individuality. I cannot imagine my life without her guidance and I am very thankful to be able to call Widget a friend.

Widget has been such a role model to me ever since I met her in 2008. She taught me how to get out of my comfort zone and try new things. She always told me and my sister hilarious stories about her childhood and her friends, and I always wanted to be just like her. Widget is so great with young children. I remember swimming in the ocean with her, and when a big wave would come I would be terrified. But Widget held me and made me laugh and soon enough, I wanted to swim in the ocean every day. I love Widget because shes like an older sister to me. I love her obsession with salt and her funny voices and her magical tales of being a mermaid.  Widget is a beautiful, kind, caring, fun, good-humored person and I hope more people have a person like Widget in their lives.

Me and Widget met a couple years ago when I was 11, I’m 14 now and I couldn’t ask for a better role model. She taught me how to make friendship bracelets and to not be so scared of the ocean. She made me laugh so much. I love widget. She has been a close friend for a couple years and I am so happy I met her.
